Workshops at Bulbul Art-Residence
Bulbul Art-Residence invites artisans, craft practitioners, and artists working with material-based practices to lead workshops within our residency programmes.

Workshops at Bulbul are conceived as spaces for knowledge exchange, hands-on learning, and slow engagement with materials, processes, and local contexts.

What kind of workshops we host

We are interested in workshops related to:
• felt and textile practices
• embroidery, sewing, weaving
• ceramics and clay-based work
• natural materials and traditional techniques
• intergenerational and locally rooted craft knowledge
• contemporary artistic approaches grounded in making

We welcome both traditional and experimental formats.

Workshop formats

Workshops at Bulbul can take different forms:
• short workshops for residents and guests
• 1–3 day intensive sessions
• practice-based and process-oriented formats
• small groups with focused attention

Formats are discussed individually and adapted to each practice.

What we offer

Workshop facilitators are provided with:
• workshop space within the residency
• access to a focused and engaged audience
• organisational and communication support
• visibility through our website and archive
• potential for long-term collaboration

Who can apply

We invite:
• artisans and master craft practitioners
• artists working with material practices
• designers and makers
• individuals and collectives

Local and international practitioners are welcome.

Collaboration model

Collaboration conditions are discussed on a case-by-case basis and may include:
• honorarium or revenue-sharing models
• short-term invitations or recurring workshops
• integration into residency programmes

We value clarity, fairness, and mutual respect.
